Why is the seal to my new Gladiator or Heirloom Barley not attached?

Most supplements are not affected by what they call a heat sealing processing in which extremely high temperatures are used to activate a chemical glue to adhere (usually a Mylar seal or metal of some type) to the top of the plastic bottle before the plastic threaded lid is screwed on by a machine.

Our powdered products are highly specialized agricultural products (especially the barley) that are actually negatively affected by the exposure to this extremely high temperature sealing process. Not to mention the exposure to whatever possible chemical in the glue or plastic, released during the heating process, that is used to attach the seal material to the top of the bottle, to our consumable health supplement.

So, in an overabundance of caution for the integrity and quality of our highly specialized one of a kind products, and to assure safe consumption of these products by our valued customers, we use what is known as a pressure seal lid that relies on the pressure of the tightening of the threaded lid of the jar to seal the bottle, as opposed to a high temperature possibly chemical releasing sealing process.

So, if you open a bottle of our Boost, Sprouted Barley or other powdered products and the lid is not glued to the bottle, not to worry. Because the pressure seals are activated by the pressure of the lid being closed. They are also deactivated when the pressure from that same lid is released, so it is very common for the inner seal to come off with the lid or stay attached to the lid instead of the top of the bottle upon initial opening.

Additionally, every bottle of Sprouted Barley and Boost should have a clear heat shrink seal on the outside of the bottle. The only time you should be concerned that your bottles are not sealed or have been unsealed and resealed, is if you receive a bottle and the clear heat shrink seal on the outside is gone or damaged, and the inner under lid seal is missing. It being not attached to the top of the bottle is how this type of pressure seal is supposed to work.

Please know and understand that the very reason you are concerned about the seals, the quality and integrity of the product, is why they are not heat sealed, as it is not only safer for the products but for your health as well.
