Does Gladiator or Heirloom Barley contain Lectins?

Our Sprouted Barley products do not contain lectins as they are sprouts and not a seed. Here is the difference. When we 'sprout' grains, we are allowing the seed to germinate and a shoot will emerge from the seed. This is the part that is cut off and eaten. Therefore, the seed itself is not actually consumed. Since lectins are packaged along with the seed to protect against predation, once the seed sprouts, the lectin concentration diminishes within a couple days. In a week's time, the sprouts have no residual lectins.

The barley plants have been produced with "Beyond Organic" natural, mechanical inputs that increase the mineral and nutrient values. Allowing our bodies to obtain the highest quality building blocks, promoting significant healing, regeneration and strength.
